Mangalore, 24 Febraury 2012: “The issue of viewing ‘objectionable’ video clip by the three ministers while the assembly was in session some time back has been known to the entire world and the three ministers were caught ‘red handed’ and even if they say that they are not guilty, viewing such obscene pictures is a criminal act and as such the ministers should be deprived of all their powers and strict legal action should be taken against them. By just asking these ministers to resign is like throwing dust in the eyes of the people of Karnataka”, said K. Vijaya Kumar Shetty, two times former Congress MLA of Suratkal Constituency at a Press Meeting held at the District Congress Office at Mangalore on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 1 pm.
Speaking further, K. Vijaya Kumar Shetty said that the council of ministers has been comprised of various ‘dubious’ elements such as corrupt politicians, mining, sand and building mafias and land grabbers. Such government cannot be tolerated by the people of Karnataka.
K. Vijaya Kumar also listed the alleged misdeeds of Palemar in a handout distributed among the press reporters.
Besides the press reporters, the meeting was attended by Lancelot Pinto, P V Mohan, T K Sudhir, Nagendra Kumar, Jacinta Alfreeda, Mamata Shetty, Mohan Mendon and other Congress leaders.
