Jerald Lobo Elected as President of " Vamanjooreans UAE"

Dubai, 31 October 2011: Parishioners belonging to St. Joseph the Workers Church, Vamanjoor, Mangalore, for the first time formed an association to bring together all parishioners residing in UAE under one family, and named the association as ‘Vamanjooreans UAE’. The Formation of this association was a long cherished dream of a few enthusiastic parishioners. The main objective of this association is to provide a helping hand to the parishioners who are in need of help for education, job, health treatment or any basic necessities and also to promote unity among parishioners.
There was a meeting held recently and Mr. Jerald Lobo has been unanimously elected as the president of Vamanjooreans UAE and Mr. Johnson Monteiro has been elected as the Vice President.

The committee was formally inaugurated on 15th September by lighting the lamp in the presence of parishioners who had gathered to celebrate Monti Fest at Dubai, this was the first event organised by committee members of Vamanjooreans UAE. Mr. Jerald Lobo in his presidential speech welcomed the gathering and informed the parishioners about the objective to set up ‘Vamanjooreans UAE’.
