Bahrain: Bellevision holds fun filled annual Picnic

Manama, Bahrain, 10 October 2011: Bellevision, Bahrain held their annual picnic for members and their families on 7th Oct. 2011 at Budaiya Al Naser Pool side. The response was overwhelming from members. The activities started with, the Vice president Mr. Francis Saldanaha welcoming the members, and then the President Mr. Joel D’sa elaborated the safety measures should be taken and followed to make this event a risk free enjoyable one.

 

The functions started with prayer which was done by Mrs. Alfreeda Castelino. Then the members proceeded for breakfast. Immediately after the breakfast Members dived to the pool to get the feel of fresh water, then Kids games, Ladies games, Adults games , like gift parcel, filling water to the bottle, lemon and spoon, throwing the ball  between the legs, and above head were conducted.

 

 

 

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

 

At 1.45pm lunch was served after the Prayer, which was recited by Rishel Robert Fernandes and grace before meals by Hazel D’sa.  Again many games were held for members like coconut fight,  grabbing the greased coconut ( coconut Rugby) was fun to watch, the main attraction of the evening was Breaking the Pot ( Madake Hodeyudu) and combined Throw ball tournaments conducted by forming 4 teams and played with competitive spirits.  Last attraction for the day was Tug Of War, where all the members participated comprising two teams,

The complete event of picnic was arranged by a group of dedicated Members.
Event coordinators Marita & Baptist Sequiera and John D’souza.
Registration counter was managed by Mrs. Marita Aranha &  Hilda D’sa
Entertainment section was managed by Sunil D’sa & Nirmala Fernandes.
Sports events for the entire day were conducted by Sona Shetty, Deena Fernandes and many members volunteered to conduct the games and activities.
The Bar responsibilities were taken by dedicated members Mr. Walter lobo and Mr. Vincent.
Music (The famous Bahrain DJ Mr. OJ) mesmerized the gathering with good numbers, many members sang Konkani and Kannada songs to entertain the and members danced to their tunes

Mr. Naveen Mendonca (Bapco), Sunil D’sa, Ronald & Nirmala Fernandes, Arun Casteliono, Edward Noronha, Joel D’sa sponsored snacks and gifts for the event.

 

The birthday celebrants and anniversary celebrants of the Month of October were called upon to cut the cake, and distributed to all the members.

 

At last gifts for all the Winners of games and competitions were presented.

 

Entertainment Secretary Nrimala Fernandes gave the vote of thanks, and then President Joel D’sa showed his gratitude to all the Ex.Com. Members and volunteers for their hard work and dedication to make this event a grand success, and also thanked all the Members for participating to make this even a memorable one.
