Mangaluru: A consultative meeting of Yakshagana teachers serving under the Yakshadhruva - Yaksha Shikshan Yojana, one of the projects of Yakshadhruva Patla Foundation Trust (R.) Mangaluru, was held at the Pathumudi Auditorium in Mangaluru.

 

Patla Satish Shetty, the founder president of Patla Foundation and director of the Yakshadhruva Yaksha Shikshan Yojana, presided over the event and informed the Yakshagana teachers about the outline of the Yakshadhruva Yaksha Shikshan Yojana for the current academic year.

 

Prof. M.L. Samaga, Honorary Advisor of the Advisory Committee of the Yakshadhruva Yaksha Shikshan Project, informed the Yakshagana teachers about the possibilities and educational methodology of Yakshagana education in the current era.

 

Dr. M. Prabhakar Joshi, Honorary Advisor of the Advisory Committee of the Yakshadhruva Yaksha Shikshan Yojana, addressed the Yakshagana teachers and informed them about the challenges and opportunities faced by Yakshagana teachers.

On this occasion, the ’Yakshadhruva Yakshashikshan - Tenkuthittu Yakshagana Education Technology Based Textbook’, which was released on the occasion of Yakshadhruva Dashama Patla Sambraham, was distributed to the Yakshagana teachers. The Yakshagana textbook was introduced and the method of its use was explained to the Yakshagana teachers. After that, the code of conduct of the Yakshadhruva - Yakshashikshan project was explained and an interaction was arranged with the Yakshagana teachers.

 

On this occasion, 36 Yakshagana teachers including Sarapadi Ashok Shetty, members of the Yakshadhruva Yaksha Shikshan Yojana Advisory Committee, Pradeep Alva Kadri, Organizing Secretary, Mumbai Unit Coordinator Karnur Mohan Rai, Yakshagana Organizer Ramesh Manjeshwar, and Journalist Nagar Raghavendra were present.

 

Panambur Vasudeva Aitala, the chief coordinator of the Yakshadhruva Yakshashikshan Yojana, gave an introductory speech, welcomed and thanked the participants, and informed about the activities of the Yakshadhruva Yakshashikshan Yojana for the current academic year. Devit S. K. Peradi, the coordinator of the Yakshadhruva Yakshashikshan Yojana, conducted the program.
