Vittla: Urs to be held from February 19 to 22 in the name of Waliullahi Mashhoor

Bantwal: Urs Committee President VKM Ashraf said that an Urs will be held from February 19 to 22 in the name of Waliullahi Mashhoor, who is resting in front of the Vitla Kendra Juma Masjid in Meginapet near Vitla, which has a history of about 600 years.

 

Speaking at a press conference called in Vittal, he said that on this occasion, renowned scholars of Kerala like Ustad Ashiq Darimi Alafuza, Hafiz Anwar Mannani Tojapur, Shafiq Al Badri Al Bakhvi Kadakkal and Hanif Nizami Al Murshid Mogral will deliver four-day sermons.

 

On Feb. 19, Karnataka State Council President N.P.M. Syed Zainul Abidin will inaugurate the Thangal Duggaladka program.

Shaikhuna Walemundow Ustad will lead the Dua at the sermon program to be held on Feb. 20. Abdul Khader Bambrana Ustad will inaugurate the program.

 

The annual Majlis-e-Sunnur will be held on the 21st under the leadership of Asiyad Ibrahim Batish Thangal Albukhari Anekallu. Taburuk will be distributed on that day.

 

The concluding ceremony of Vittla Makham Urs will be held on February 22, with prayers led by All Kerala Jamiatul Ulama Presidents Syedul Ulama Asayyid Mohammed Jifri Muthukoy Thangal and Syed Ali Thangal Kumbol. The event will be inaugurated by Twakha Ahmed Musliyar, District Qazi and Samasta Mushavar Central Member.

 

The Kootu Ziarat will be led by Asayyid S.M. Mohammad Thangal Salmara. He said that food distribution will be held on the concluding day.

 

Vittla Kendra Juma Masjid President Ashraf Mohammed Ponnotu said that a grand Urs was held at Vittla Masjid twelve years ago, but it was stopped due to various reasons. Now, the youth have come forward with enthusiasm and now the Urs is being held under their leadership as per the directions of the mosque.

 

Horizon Public School President Aziz Sana, Madrasah President Shamir Palike, Youth Wing President Rafiq Ponnotu, Mosque Treasurer Sharif Ponnotu, and Joint Secretary Abubakar Anilakatte were present at the press conference.
