Mumbai, Jan. 01: The centenary celebrations being celebrated by the BSKB Association (Gokula) Sian, which was established a century ago in the country’s financial capital, Brihanmumbai, and is currently in its 100s, began with a religious program here on the first day of the new year.

 

With the slogan of ’Unity, Tradition, Culture’ for a hundred years of Gokul, the resolution of a hundred programs to be organized throughout the year 2025 with various religious, cultural, literary, social, educational and sports events was launched.

 

Here, on Wednesday morning, the famous Shri Sansthan Gokarna Partagali Jeewatthama Math in Ayodhyanagar, Maharashtra, performed puja to the venerable Lord Shri Ram at the Shri Ram Mandir in Wadala, received prasadam, and then reached the Sannidhan of Shri Gopalakrishna Devara in Gokul, Sayan, Mathura, Maharashtra, by foot, and the Shatasambhram was started with a religious program. Bhajans and sankirtans were sung throughout the walk, and the devotees were Gave support.

At 6.00 am, Dr. Suresh S. Rao Kateel and the Gokul family, who received the prasadam offered by the priest of Sri Rama Temple, Ve| Moo| Govinda Acharya, performed the puja to Lord Sri Rama and then reached Gokul in Sayan on foot. Gokul priest Akshay Ballal performed the puja and blessed the devotees.

 

The Gokulites walk, organized under the guidance and presence of Bombay South Canara Brahmins Association (BSKBA) and Gopalakrishna Public Trust President Dr. Suresh S. Rao Kateel, was attended by BSKBA First Lady Vijayalakshmi Suresh Rao, Vice President Vaman Holla, Secretary A.P.K. Pothi, Treasurer C.A. Haridas Bhat, Joint Secretary Chitra Melmane, Joint Treasurer Ganesh Bhat, Women’s Division President Sahana A. Pothi, Youth Division President Prashant Herle, Gokul Kalavrinda Executive President Vinodini R. Rao, Gokul Bhajana Mandali Committee Executive President I.K. Prema S. Rao, Trustees of Gopalakrishna Trust B. Ramananda Rao, Krishna Acharya, Shailini Rao, former president K. Subbanna Rao, shelter president Rajarama Acharya, coordinator Chandravathi Rao, Deepak Shivatthaya, Krishna Manjarabettu, Rama Vitthala Kalluraya, including S.S. Udupa, Ram Mandir president Mukund Kamath, vice president Ananth Pai, Kamalaksha Saraf and other office bearers and members participated.
