Moodubelle: Mrs. Blossom D’Souza takes over as the new Branch Manager of Syndicate Bank

Moodubelle, 15 June 2011: Mrs. Blossom D’Souza has taken the charge as the Manager of the Syndicate Bank-Moodubelle Branch with effect from June 10, 2011. Before taking over as the Branch Manager of Moodubelle, Mrs. Blossom was serving in the Syndicate Bank’s Kemmannu Branch as the Assistant Manager. With 21 years of dedicated and sincere service in the Syndicate Bank in various capacities in various branches and offices of the bank, Mrs. Blossom greatly deserves to be the Branch Manager of the Syndicate Bank in Moodubelle.
Born on March 8, 1965 to late Basil and late Emilia Quadros, Mrs. Blossom had her initial education up to SSLC in Kemmannu and continued her PUC studies at the Milagres College, Kallianpur. For higher studies she proceeded to Mangalore and completed her college studies in St. Agnes Colege and acquired B.Com degree from the Mangalore University in 1985.
While in school and college, Mrs. Blossom had an interest in writing stories and sports. She won first prize at the district level for her short story in the Kannada Language. While in St. Agnes College, Mangalore, Mrs. Blossom took keen interest in athletics and won silver medal in high jump event at the Mangalore University athletics meet.
With a commerce degree in hand, Mrs. Blossom was keen to serve in financial institutions and joined the Syndicate Bank in 1989. Her first posting was in the Karwar Divisional Office where she worked for one year. Later, she was transferred to Hoode where she served for eight years, Kallianpur, four years, Kemmannu, one year and Karwar Regional Office for one year.
As Mrs. Blossom was due to promotion, she was sent to Petri Branch as Assistant Manager where she served for four years in that capacity and thereafter at Kemmannu for one year. Mrs. Blossom secured her next promotion as Branch Manager and has taken charge of the Syndicate Bank’s Moodubelle Branch from June 10, 2011.
Mrs. Blossom is married to Prof. Peter D’Souza, presently Head of the Department of Commerce, Milagres College, Kallianpur. They have two children-Khusshel who after completing BE is preparing for the M.Tech course and Komal who is studying in the Third Year BE in St. Joseph’s Engineering College, Mangalore.

Mrs. Blossom, now that you have taken over the reigns of Moodubelle Branch, I as a fellow Christian will appreciate if you convince the authorities of Syndicate Bank to open a new branch between Katpadi Circle Kaup Road which is a good distance of 8 kms. As you may be aware, there is only 1 Branch at the Main Katpadi Circle enroute to Shirva Manchakal. Other banks (Vijaya, Corporation etc.) are at a kilometer from Katpadi circle to Shirva Manchakal. People have to commute between Kaup Road Katpadi Circle to come to Syndicate Bank for their transactions. Since it is mostly the ladies from my observation visiting the banks, I understand it’s really time consuming and troublesome for them. Another observation, areas from Katpadi Circle enroute to Udupi, Shankerpura, Pangla, Bhantakal, Shantipura etc. have been strategically developed by many banks, I suppose each of them may be having Syndicate Bank Branches. Finally, Modubelle being just 5 kms away from Shirva, I think you can shoulder this onus within your capacity - and am confident you have the potential to convince the concerned authorities to get this expedited. I await to have your say on this subject.
