Moodubelle: St. Lawrence PU College Second PU Results 92.3%

Moodubelle, 11 May 2011: The Second PU Results of St. Lawrence PU College, Moodbelle is quite satisfactory with 92.3 percent. Out of 157 students who had appeared for the Second PU examination, 145 declared successful. Faculty wise, Commerce scored 97 percent, Science 84.4 percent and Arts 93 percent.
Out of 145 successful students six students secured Distinction marks, one in Science-Nisha Martis (516 marks) and five in Commerce-Prasanna Prabhu (547), Prasad (527), Babita Suv arna (518), Ashwath (516) and Abhishek (510). Among the rest, 88 students secured First Class marks and 39 students secured Second Class marks. While Nisha Martis obtained 100 out 100 marks in the Computer Science, Prasad scored 100 out of 100 in the Accountancy subject.
The following students topped the list of the successful candidates faculty-wise:
1. Prasanna Prabhu-Commerce (547 Marks)

3. Deeksha-Arts (465 Marks)

Commenting on the results, especially that of Science faculty, Fr. Paul Sequeira, Principal of St. Lawrence PU College said that this year the Chemistry question paper was quite confusing to the students as a result of which some students failed in this subject, thus bringing down the result considerably. However, he expressed satisfaction at the overall result of the PU College which is above the Udupi District average.
