Three killed, two injured in bus-car collision

Udupi, 30 April 2011: Three persons were killed and two injured in a collision between a bus and a car at Jansale near Siddapura coming under the Shankarnarayana police station limits on Friday.

 

According to the police, the car was moving from Kundapur to Siddapura while the bus was moving in the opposite direction from Sagar to Kundapur, when the accident took place at Jansale.

 

 

The names of the victims were given as Tunga (35), Gulabi (36), and Sheikh Mir Sahib (34). All the three victims were travelling by the car. Sheikh Mir Sahib was driving the car. The two persons in the car who were injured have been identified as Halappa and Shaila.

 

The injured have been shifted to a private hospital in Manipal. The persons travelling in the car belonged to Hennabail near Siddapura.
