Manipura: Street lights inaugurated at Manipura Harijan Colony

Manipura, 17 April 2011: The faces of the residents of the Harijan colony at Manipura brimmed with smiles as their dream of many years of having street lights in their locality was realized. The street lights that were installed on the road leading to their colony were inaugurated by the Udupi Zilla Panchyat Member, Mrs. Ida Gibba D’Souza recently. The P.D.O of Kunadapura, Hasan, President of the Manipura Grama Panchayat, Shaikh Hasan Beari, Vice President, Mrs. Nalini, Taluk Panchayat member, Gurudas Bhandari, V.G. Kini, Lawrence, Karunakara Shetty, Bharat and many villagers were present on this occasion.
Speaking to this correspondent, Mrs. Ida Gibba D’Souza said that people of her constituency expect a lot of developmental work. They did felicitate her by offering garlands in order to show their appreciation on being elected as the member of the Udupi Zilla Panchayat. It is natural that they expect the elected representatives to do good work for them.
Further, Mrs. Ida Gibba D’Souza said that she is aware of the kind of projects needed for Belle, Shirva, Kurkal and Manipura and will try her best to get these projects passed and executed and also will try to get the necessary amount from the authorities to fund these projects. While thanking the people for getting her elected to the Udupi Zilla Panchayat, Mrs. Ida Gibba D’Souza says that she will work to the best of her ability and see to it that the people get proper amenities in their respective areas and villages.

Each and every village should have at least one Harijana/Girijana colony. All Indian villages will get Water,Electricity,Tar roads,street lights etc. Jai Ho India, Jai Ho Ambedkar. |
