Lalaji R. Mendon attends School Development Council Meeting at Government High School, Manipura

Manipura, 09 April 2011: Lalaji R. Mendon, the Honorary  President of the Government High School, Manipura presided over the last meeting of the School Development Council  for the academic year 2010-2011, on Friday, 8 April 2011 at 3 pm in the school office.

 

The meeting was  attended by Mrs. Ida Gibba D’Souza, member of the  Udupi Zilla Panchayat, Gurudas Bhandary, member of the Udupi Taluk Panchayat, Shaikh Hasan Beari, president of the Manipura Grama Panchayat, Govinda Bhat, executive president of the Government High School, Prakash Shetty, president of the Old Students Association,  Joseph Kunder, president of the Rotary Club, businessmen, Sakharam Shetty and Bhaskar Shetty as well as the School Development Council Members.

 

 

A number of issues were taken up for discussion in the meeting including the results of the school and  measures to be undertaken for the development of the high school. It was unanimously decided to  inaugurate the new high school building which is in the final stage of construction on 30 May 2011.

 

Mrs. Nivedita, the headmistress of the Government High School welcomed the guests and Mrs. Leelavati, headmistress of the primary school proposed the vote of thanks.
