Moodubelle, 06 March 2011: With Naalkubeedi is set to become a developing region in the near future, thanks to Shri Annapoorna Commercial Complex and proposed housing projects, the people of the vicinity expect better transport facilities, especially the city bus service to and from Udupi.
With this view in mind, due to the efforts of Chandrakant Rao, the proprietor of Shri Annapoorna Commercial Complex, the city bus service has been extended up to Naalkubeedi. The inauguration of the first extended city bus, Shri Krishna Prasad of Belle Travels was done on Thursday, 3rd March 2011 at 7 am at Naalkubeedi.
Following the preliminary pooja by Prasanna Bhat of edmeru, Chandrakant Rao inaugurated the extended city bus service by traditionally breaking the coconut in front of the bus. The inaugural programme was attended by Devdas Hebbar, President of the Udupi Taluk Panchayat, Mrs. Jacinta Aranha, President of the Belle Grama Panchayat, Shivram Salian, member of the Belle Grama Panchayat and Benedict Martis, former President of the Lions Club of Moodubelle.

And make a stop in front of every house. That would be a real sign of development!

Most welcome development and it shows that Belle is developing. It is to be seriously considered by the Pamchayaths and authority that the work done to widen the road must see asphalting now else the wotk done will cause greater hardship to the Public and the bus transporters. From Manipura-Alevoor Bdridge to Nalku Beedi the widened roads must be covered with Tar. As it is found that the jalli stored is lifted to elsewhere and it is apprehensive if the work will continue. if there are no signs depsite followup people will have to agitate before the concerned authority including road bund. The state government simply promises but the local leaders including Mr Mendon must be serious about the responsibility. I hope that this task will be attended to with equal good spirits then only the extension of city service will be useful. Good luck the all concerned.

It is very useful if this route is forwarded to Kattingeri temple >>> towards Kattingeri school >>> and then connect to Moodubelle college road then to Udupi , so that many people will be benefited from this entire route. Mr. Hebbar kindly do the needful to execute this plan earliest, as you have only 3 months time left to start the rainy season again it will become more worse later, as earlier bus service also was started the its disappeared without even prior notice due to un-complete of the road work , and still its in incomplete position. Being a Udupi Panchayat president, now you can defiantly arrange to complete these pending projects and all the best for your future plans.

Excellent idea of extending the city bus service to and from Nalkubeedi to Udupi , as Nalkubeedi is the fast developing Area / junction of Moodubelle. It is going to benefit all the Moodubelle people as well as the bus Owners. Congratulations to all, whoever initiated this idea and made it to happen.
