Kaup Beach Utsav Concludes

Kaup, 09 February 2011: “The programs such as the Beach Utsav plays an important role in reflecting the coastal culture and Janapada arts” said D.V. Sadananda Gowda, who spoke upon inauguration of the closing ceremony of the two days “Snehada Kadalalli Beach Utsav” organized by Lal Bahadur Shastri Sports and Cultural Club at Kaup beach. He also said that the state government is organizing various programs to solve the problems of the coastal people. Also the effort is on to get the grants from the center directly.

 

 

Chief guest B. Nagaraja Shetty – President of Karavali Develpement Authority, spoke on the occasion and said that through the Development Authority many projects have been put forward and in the budget this time, we hope that the government would grant the funds for the same. Kaup MLA Lalaji R. Mendon presided over the function and in his address he said that with the efforts and cooperation of all, the Beach Utsav program has been celebrated in a grand manner.

 

D.K. and Udupi District Fish Marketing Federation President Yashpal A. Suvarna, BJP Jilla President Uday Kumar Shetty, Jilla Panchayath Member Arun Shetty Padoor, Kaup Grama Panchayath President Yogish Rai, N.B. Kotyan, Ramesh Shetty Bhairaguthu, Ananda C. Kunder, Social Worker Liladhara Shetty Karandadi, Padu School Head Mistress Sr. Agnes Lobo, Baskara R. Mendon, Kaup Mogaveera Mahasabha President Mohan Bangera, Mogaveera Mahila Mandali President Chennamma Suvarna were also present on the occasion.

 

All the donors who cooperated in various activities of the Beach Utsav were honoured on this occasion. Lal Bahadur Shastri Sports and Cultural Club President Dinesh Suvrna welcomed the gathering. General Secretary Sujith Suvarna made the introduction. Lalaji Puthran proposed vote of thanks. Suresh Shetty and Sitharama Shetty Kalathur compeered the program.
