ICYM Vamanjoor unit organizes Inter-Ward Mega Quiz - 2015

Mangaluru, 14 Sep 2015: ICYM unit of St Joseph The Worker parish, Vamanjoor, here organized Mega Quiz – 2015, an inter-ward quiz competition for it parishioners at St Joseph’s School Hall, Vamanjoor  here on Sunday September 13.

 

Vamanjoor parish priest Fr Cyprian Pinto inaugurated the Mega Quiz – 2015 here on Sunday morning.

 

Fr Cyprian called upon the parishioners to come forward in showcasing their talent.

 

Vamanjoor parish council vice president Roshan Kamath, secretary Joachim D’Souza, ICYM Vamanjoor unit animator Charles Pais were present at the dais.

 

Joachim appreciated the efforts of the organizers and conveyed best wishes to the participants.

 

 

ICYM Vamanjoor unit president Avin Mascarenhas welcomed the gathering. The secretary Flavin D’Souza proposed vote of thanks.

 

It was followed by a wonderful display of exciting and thrilling quiz show conducted by quiz master Bro Hector Pinto, the principal of St Joseph’s College, Bajpe.

 

It comprised interesting as well as informative rounds on Bible, Konkani culture, sports, science, movies, politics, history etc. with the use of Technology such as phone-a-friend, buzzer rounds etc.

 

All the 25 wards of the parish participated in the quiz competition which was hugely appreciated by all present to witness the event.

 

The valedictory function was presided by Cyprian Pinto.

 

ICYM Vamanjoor unit joint secretary Sonal D’Souza thanked all those who helped to make the quiz competition a great success.

 

Vamanjoor ward bagged the first place, Anegundi ward bagged the second place and Nirala ward bagged the third place in the quiz competitions.

 

Spot games were held in between the competition for the audience. ICYM unit member Melveera Rodrigues compered the Event.
