Kasargod schoolboy murder case: Accused wanted to settle score with boy’s father
Kasargod, 11 Jul 2015: The shocking incident of a ’psychopath’ stabbing an 8-year-old boy to death has taken an even more shocking twist with the police revealing that the innocent boy was killed only because the accused wanted to settle score with the boy’s father.
It may be recalled that Mohommad Fahad (8) was stabbed by a man named Vijayan (32), on Thursday at Periya Kaliyat when the boy was walking to his school along with his friends and sister.
Fahad was the son of Abbas and Ayesha, residents of Periya Kaliyat, near Kasargod. Vijayan was immediately nabbed by the locals and handed over to the police. It is now learnt that Vijayan had plotted the murder because he had harboured strong revengeful feelings against Abbas.
Reason for vengeance
Vijayan was nabbed for making hoax call to police station stating that there is a bomb planted at the railway track. The police had later nabbed Vijayan. Following the incident, Vijayan had to face a lot of humiliation as he was then branded as a mentally ill person. As per Viayan, it was Abbas, father of the boy who had passed on the information about the bomb having been planted on the tack to him.
Vijayan’s pictures were published on newspapers and it was later learnt that Abbas had provided the pictures to the media. Tagged and written off as a ’man man’,, Vijayan was admitted to Mallapuram hospital for psychiatric treatment.
Vijayan had held Abbas responsible for these bitter turns in his life and wanted to avenge the disgrace.
It is said that Vijayan settled score for the same by killing Fahad.
As per sources, Vijayan had revealed all the details during the interrogation, which has strongly hinted at the fact that the prank played by Abbas had a deep impact on Vijayan and in an act of revenge Vijayan claimed an innocent life.
At the same time efforts are being made it give it a communal colour by stating that Vijayan is a BJP-RSS member.
