Kaup: Kundanthaya, Dr. Manjarichandra and Charithra Hegde are to be Honoured

Kaup, 30 December 2010: Senior Janapada Vidvansa K. Lakshminarayana Kundanthaya, Dr. Manjarichandra and popular child actress Charithra Hegde will be honoured with Vidhyarathna award organized by Kaup Ananthraj Charitable Trust and Kaup Vidhyaniketana Group of Institutions during the functions from 29th December to 01st January. These awards are being given every year for the achievers in various fields.
K. Lakshminarayana Kundanthaya
K. Lakshminarayana Kundanthaya who hails from the popular Kudanthaya family from Kunjoor of Yellur grama. He has done the post graduation in the field of Karnataka classical history, served Udayavai for 18 years as Asst. Editor and has done studies and research in history of Janapada, Arts and in religious fields. The research work on the various temples and its renovation methods and arts have been published in Doordarshan and news papers.
Tulunadu temple culture and the study of more than 60 temples have been undertaken by him. Various festivals in Tulunadu and its significance and also the introduction of temples in places such as Yelluru, Nandikooru, Padebettu, Kunjooru, Kaup and other such places has been published by him.
Charithra C. Hegde
Charithra C. Hegde an popular child actress who acted leading role in “Kanchilda Baale” is just 10 years of age and is the daughter of Chitaranjan Hegde and Prarthana Hegde of Udupi. She is studying in 5th standard at Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavara, besides her excellence in studies she has proved her talents in Bharathanatya, classical music, painting, sports and also in western music.
Dr. Manjarichandra Sanil
Dr. Manjarichandra Sanil, along with her medical studies she has also developed her talents in Bharathanatya. She is the daughter of Chandrashekar Sherigar and Gulabi. Presently she has completed her medical studies in Shri Manjunatheshwara Ayurveda College and doing her internship. She was trained in Bharathanatya at Nrathyavidhushi Shyamala and popular Nrathyakalasindhu of Udupi D. Radhakrishna Thanthri and has been practicing Bharathanatya since 16 years. She has performed in more than 700 national and international programs.
