Dubai: Dony Corea’s maiden CD "Hero Only yours" released in a glittering musical extravaganza

Dubai, 10 Apr 2015: In a glittering ceremony “ Hero only yours “ was released along with the musical extravaganza titled : “UNPLUGED” on Friday the 10th April 2015 at the Emirates Theatre Dubai attended by a large number of konkani music and drama lovers.

 

The eagerly awaited Konkani CD was released by a veteran konkani writer Mr. Antony Mendonsa and was blessed by Rev. Fr. Lawrence D’Souza who also wished good luck for the CD Marketing and appreciated the efforts taken by Dony Correa and his team.

 

Its debut Konkani musical album ‘Hero – Only Yours’ a 2-in-1 entertainment which included a two hour musical program by Dony Correa, Asha Corea, Joshal Sweedal D’Souza and Sonu Nigam of Mangalore Prajoth D’sa who kept the audience spell bound during the “ UNPLUGED “ followed by attended by a large number of konkani lovers along with Cha Fra D’Costa’s award-winning drama ’Vishentiche Bhav’, a short, one scene drama which was performed by award-winning artistes with a hug round of applause.

 

In the musical concert the Mangalorean konkani sensation singer Prajoth D’Souza along with Sweedal Joshal D’souza and the hosts Dony Correa and Asha Correa provide the total entertainment with a few memorable konkani, Kannnada and Hindi songs and kept the audieance enthralled during the UNPLUGED  non-stop musical extravaganza.

 

 

‘Vishentiche Bhav’ is a beautifully written masterpiece with humour, aggression and diplomacy mixed in the right proportion that left the audience spellbound. This drama was presented wonderfully by veteran actors  with mind-blowing dialogues penned by Cha Fra with the unique use of similes and metaphors, which makes him the undisputed king of dialogues in Konkani drama. Powerful dialogues of this drama left the audience mesmerized, and made an lasting impact.

 

This unique drama was performed by veteran actor Vincy Lobo who was awarded the best actor for the same drama last year along with  Cynthia Pinto who was awarded best actor (female) for the same role and supported by well -known drama actors namely Dony Correa, Dinesh Correa, Veena D’sa, Robert Mendonca and Anil Lobo left the lasting impression by their spell bound acting skills. The well-known musician Kethan D’Souza provided the background score for the drama.

 

On the occasion also Daijiworld TV 24 x 7 Gulf was launched to  provide all the entertainment and konkani programs of the Gulf area especially from U.A.E.  by Daijiworld member Dayan Dsouza Mukamar.

 

All the singers, artists and media persons were honoured at intervals in appreciation for their total support for “Hero” only yours and for the drama.

 

Asha Correa proposed the vote of thanks.
