Udupi: Rotary Governor offers unto society new Rotary Auditorium of RCI - Manipura

Udupi, 31 Mar 2015: Rotary Club International (RCI) across the India in collaboration with central government will actively involve in National Literacy Programme during 2015 – 16, while it would lay special emphasis on literacy of rural students, said Rotary district governor Dr Bhaskar.
Dr Bhaskar was on official visit to RCI – Manipura, near here on Saturday March 28 evening, speaking during public function of inaugurating Rotary Auditorium that was constructed on a plot donated by Rotarian the late V G Kini.
RCI has been successfully serving the humanity at hospitals, education institutions, housing for homeless etc with the contributions of Rotarians worldwide, added Dr Bhaskar.
RCI – Manipura president Vincent D’Souza presided the programme.
Fr Denis D’Sa, parish priest of St Antony parish – Kuntalnagar, near here was present.
The entrepreneur Devaputra Kotian, Sakaram Shetty, Rotary district first lady Manjula Bhaskar, zonal assistant governor M G Nagendra, Commandant Joseph Kundar were present at the dais.
Jovita Sequeira rendered the prayers. RCI – Manipura secretary Joy Sequeira proposed vote of thanks. Gururaj Bhat, Vincent D’Souza and Jayaram Shetty introduced the guests. Chandrashekar Salian compered the programme.
