Udupi: Vovyo Verse training workshop for Udupi deanery parish women

Udupi, 22 Sep 2014: Catholic Sabha of Udupi deanery and Konkani self-help-groups of Udupi diocese organized training workshop on Vovyo Verse and felicitation of Catherine Rodrigues, Katpady who was selected to confer Sahitya Kala Award by Mangalorean Konkani Association – Qatar here on Sunday September 21.
Katpady parish priest Fr Lawrence D’Almeida inaugurated the programme here on Sunday morning.
Fr Lawrence in his inaugural address urged the parents to allow children to fall in love with mother tongue Konkani for posterity.
Dr Gerald PInto in his introductory address urged the members to form Vovio groups in every parish.
Catholic Sabha – Udupi deanery president Louis D Almeida felicitated Catherine Rodrigues on the same occasion.
The resource person Catherine offered training in Vovyo Verse to the parish women of different parishes of Udupi deanery.
