Kuwait: KCWA holds Family Picnic

Kuwait, 31 October 2010: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) held its annual Family Picnic on Friday 29th October 2010 at Ahmadi Gardens. The day long fun-filled event included sporting activities, games, entertainment and prizes galore, thoroughly enjoyed by adults and children alike.

 

The event began at 9:30 am with the breakfast served by M & M confectioners who served delicious Sannas with sambar which was appreciated by all. The formal commencement of the picnic was started with Prayer led by Lavina Furtado. President Rudy D’Souza welcomed the gathering with his poetic words. The chief guest of the day was one of the popular personalities in Kuwait Mr. Pascal Pinto who also expressed his feelings.

 

Men, women and kids enjoyed every moment of the day with lots of fun-filled games. Special game was also held for senior citizens. The crowd was extremely excited and enthusiastically participated in all the activities. Rev. Fr. John Harry D’souza led the grace before meals. Delicious lunch was served by M & M Confectioners. The whole day’s event was ably compered by Stephen Machado who was ably supported Dr. Manohar Prabhu.

 

 

The whole event was well organized by the committee members of KCWA led by picnic coordinators Wilson Pinto and Wilfred Lobo. The picnic concluded at 4:30 pm. Around 350 people attended the picnic.
