Bantwal: Ganeshotsav concludes in taluk by immersion of Lord Ganesha idol

Bantwal, 1 Sep 2014: The renowned freedom fighter Balagangadhar Tilak strengthened the struggle by movement of Ganeshotsav in pre-Independence era. Its irony that Tilak’s ideologies of Swadeshi moment has not become a reality, said Swami Rajashekaranand of Vajradehi mutt.
Swami Rajashekaranand was delivering his message during the valedictory of thirty-fifth public celebration of Ganeshotsav by Hindu religious service Committee at Rakteshwari temple, B C Road, here on Monday September 1.
Meanwhile, Swami Rajashekaranand called on the people to unite all brethrens of society to lead the nation with the essence of Indian cultural hierarchy.
The progressive peasant Rajesh Nayak Ulipadiguttu presided the programme.
The state Bar Council vice president B B Ravindranat Rai was the chief guest of the occasion.
Hindu religious service Committee president M Satish Bhandary was present at the dais.
Loknat Shetty welcomed the gathering. Sridar Shenoy proposed vote of thanks. Satish Shetty and Rajesh B compered the programme.
The idol of Lord Ganesh that was worshiped for 4 days at Rakteshwari temple was taken in a colorful procession accompanied by traditional music and Kerala folk art group, immersed in Netravati River here on Monday.
