Bantwala; District Collector Mullai Mugilan calls for inspection of Addur Bridge

Bantwala: In view of the dilapidation of the bridge, the District Collector had ordered a ban on the movement of solid vehicles through the bridge. But this is causing a lot of trouble to the public and the students and the local people here have demanded to allow bus plying.

 

After listening to the demand of the people, the Collector said that a team of experts will arrive on August 26 to check the capacity of the bridge. After checking the capacity of the bridge and reporting to the district administration, we will take the next decision. Until then, people have been requested to cooperate.

At present, police monitoring will be arranged on both sides of the bridge to prevent any solid vehicles from plying through the bridge.

 

The District Collector said that he has instructed to construct check posts from Polali side on behalf of District Police Department and Addur side on behalf of Commissioner.Officials including Bantwal Tehsildar Archana Bhat were present.
