‘Beejamrata – Seeds Distribution & Vanamahotsava in NHPS Barkur

Barkur:, 06 Aug: Under the aegis of Lions International two Units – Lions Barkur and Lions Udupi -Amrith joined their hands together with National Hr Pry. School, Hanehalli Barkur to organise’ BEEJAAMPRATA’ a wonderful programme to distribute various seeds of plants, trees, herbs and vegetables to young children.

 

Monday, 5th August, 2024, at 10.30 am a formal stage program was arranged in the National Auditorium. Office bearers and Members of Lions Club, and other invited guests were formally presented fresh roses by the President Lions Club Barkur Mr Sreenvasa Shetty to extend them a cordial and homely welcome.

President of Lions Club Udupi Amrith Mr Gopala Anchan and Vice President of The Barkur Educational Society Retired Principal Mr Seetharama Shetty jointly inaugurated the program and distributed the seed packets to all gathered.  Secretary and the HM of National Primary School, Mr Udaya S Shetty aptly explained the need for such awareness programmes especially to educate young children. His key notes address evoked curiosity and interest in the minds of students and motivated them to plant saplings and seeds in the School compound in the followed event.

 

Among others former Zone President of Barkur Mr Sudhakara Hegde, Zone 2,  President Mrs Bharathi H, HM of the NHS Mrs Hemavathy PS and thers were present. Principal Prof U. Kottraswamy of National PU College proposed vote of thanks and Mrs Shailaja Teacher NHPS meticulouslypresented the event.
