Bantwal: Sleuths arrest couple accused of misusing pic of respected girl on YouTube

Bantwal, 01 Feb 2022: The town police sub-inspector Avinash led team arrested a couple who were accused of misusing the pic of a young girl in a YouTube channel with the sole purpose of earning money.

 

Bantwal town police registered a case against a YouTube channel – Kannada Light that has allegedly used a pic of a girl from a respected family of Bantwal.

 

Based on this complaint, Avinash led team arrested Harish and Anusha couple from Shivamogga.

Background of the case

Harish and Anusha were working as software engineers at Bengaluru who had left their jobs and moved to Shivamogga and began living in a rented house. They wanted to earn easy money and launched YouTube channel Kannada Light by uploading videos of extraordinary incidents in the society.

 

Meanwhile, they uploaded a video related to an astrologer of neighboring state, but misused the pic of a respected girl from Bantwal to get more views thereby to gain more money per click.

 

Since the girl is nowhere related to the video; the police took legal action on the couple who are now in their custody.
