Voluntary labour gone awry at dilapidated temple in Ammunje; one dies, 2 injured

Bantwal, 31 Aug 2020: One person died and two persons including a boy were injured whilst voluntarily repairing the old building in the limits of Ammunje under the jurisdiction of Bntwal rural police station, near here on Sunday August 31.

 

Thirty-five-year-old Janardhan Anchan, son of Neelayya Poojary, resident of Shamboor village, near here who died in the mishap.

 

Eleven-year-old Vrushab and twenty-year-old Suraj suffered minor injured.

 

 

The workmen involved in voluntary labour were demolishing the old temple in Ammunje village; when a stone fell on Janardhan.  As a result, he was fatally injured.

 

Despite Janardhan was taken to hospital, he breathed his last en route.

 

Bantwal rural crime SI Sanjeev K and other police personnel visited the spot.

 

A case has been registered in this regard.
