Mangaluru: District Credit Plan 2020-21 earmarks Rs 13,399 crore for priority sector

Mangaluru, 26 Jun 2020: Dakshina Kannada ZP CEO Dr Selvamani R released District Credit Plan (DCP) for the year 2020-21, during the meeting of District Consultative Committee, held at ZP Netravati auditorium, here on Wednesday, June 24.
Total credit outlay for the Year 2020-21 for the District is set at Rs 18,000 crore and for Priority Sectors Rs 13,399 crore. The DCP targets for major sectors of Priority are farming Rs 7,498 crore, MSME Rs 3716 crore, housing Rs 1,300 crore, education Rs 154 crore.
The above Targets are allotted to all Nationalized Banks, Private Commercial Banks, Cooperative Banks and Regional Rural Banks in Dakshina Kannada, based on performance and potential.
Apart from Branch wise, Bank wise and Taluk wise Credit plan, the Booklet includes other useful information like District Profile, important policies of Govt. of India/RBI/State Government/NABARD, Blockwise Service area details, Urban wards allotted, Scale of finance for various crops/ fisheries /animal husbandry for the year 2020-21, JJFLCs in the District, RUDSETI, Government sponsored scheme guidelines, doubling of farm income and contact details of financing branches of all Banks in the District.
DK MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Canara Bank Mangaluru general manager Yogeesh Acharya, S. NABARD Mangaluru DDM Ramesh, Canara Bank Mangaluru regional manager Ramakanth Bhat, Canara Bank Puttur regional manager Nanjundappa B P and District Lead Bank chief manager Praveen M P were present.
