Rowdy-sheeter hacked to death in Ullal over gang rivalry

 

Mangaluru, 26 Oct 2015: A rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death by a gang, late on Sunday night, October 25 at Thokottu near Ullal.

 

The deceased has been identified as Vikram R alias Vicky Bolar (28), a resident of Bolar. He was associated with ’Kalicharan’ gang, while the assailants belonged to Ravichandra Poojary alias Psycho Vicky gang.

 

It is said that Vicky Bolar had attended Mehendi ceremony with two of his friends at Kumpala where the rival gang members were also present. At the programme the two gangs got into a fight over a trivial issue. However, Vicky Bolar walked out of the programme with his friend named Abhishek. But, the rival gang chased Vicky Bolar in a Scorpio.

 

The night patrol police who saw the hot pursuit between a bike and the scorpio instantly informed the PCR about the same. However, the Scorpio had run over the bike before the PCR could track them down. While Vicky Bolar died after suffering severe injuries, Abhishek managed to escape.

 

ASP Kalyan Shetty, Ullal inspector Savitra Teja, SI Bharathi and other police personnel visited the spot.

 

Ullal police have registered a case and investigations are on.
