Puttur: Maternal uncle rapes niece

Narimogaru, 15 Nov 2014: A man has been arrested by the Puttur police on Saturday, November 15 on charges of raping and impregnating his own niece, at Puttur.

 

The accused Eshwar Devadiga reportedly raped his niece on April 25, 2014 who was residing at his house after the death of her father. He had also threatened her of killing if she revealed the incident.

 

The victim who took courage filed a complaint against her maternal uncle on Saturday. The court has remanded the accused to judicial custody.
