‘Janaspandana’ organised at Naalkuru
Speaking at the ‘Janaspandana’ programme at the Shri Ganesh Kalyana Mantapa near Naalkuru, Mr. B.K. Hegde, President of the Education and Health Committee of Udupi Zilla Panchayat said that people should take the advantage of the ‘janaspandana’ programmes so that they can understand and avail the services that are being made available to them by the administration. He suggested that the tahshildars should organise such programmes so that more and more people can participate and take advantage of the government schemes.
During the ‘Janaspandana’ programme, Mr. B.K. Hegde distributed ‘Sandhya Suraksha’ (Old age pension) to 14, widows’ pension to 10, aid to 4 physically challenged persons, Bhagya Lakshmi benefit to 17, and compensation to 2 victims of natural calamities.
The ‘Janaspandana’ programme at Naalkuru was attended by Mrs. Malathi Shetty-Udupi Taluk Panchayat member, Kokkarne Grama Panchayat President- Mrs. Devika, Karje Grama Panchayat President-Suresh Shetty, Cherkadi Grama Panchayat president-Kamalaksha Hebbar, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department-Suresh Shetty, Tahshildar-Prasanna and others.
The additional Tahshildar of Brahamavara-Ravi Kumar welcomed the gathering and Udupi Taluk Panchayat Executive officer- Manjunathayya proposed the vote of thanks.
Send off to Finger-print expert of Udupi News Department
Mrs. Gayatri who had been rendering service for the last three years as the finger-print expert of the ‘Udupi Vaarta Ilakhe’ (Udupi News Department) was given a warm send off by the officers and staff members of the department on her transfer to Chamaraja Nagara District.
Udupi District News Department officer M. Junjanna presented Mrs. Gayatri a memento and Mrs. Poornima placed shawl around the shoulders of Mrs. Gayatri. During this occasion, Shiv Kumar, Harish Bhat, Manjunath, Premanand Rao and photographer Jayaprakash Kini were present.
