M’lore: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind condemns Recent Incident of Blackmailing Students at Deralakatte

Mangalore, 29 Dec 2013: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind women wing state sub-convener Shameera Jahan, Dakshina Kannada (DK) district convener Zeenat Hassan, Girls Islamic Organization state secretary Kamarunnisa, DK district convener Humaira in a joint media release stated that the recent incident of a few social evil mongers who had kidnapped students of a private college in Deralakatte with the intention of shooting their blue film and black mailing them was a shame to civil society especially to students fraternity. They demanded the state authorities award harsh punishment to the accused which would send a strong message to others in dissuading the criminal forces.
They alleged that this incident has caused insecurity to students especially the girls. These kinds of heinous acts indeed make the society to worry about the future of their children. These kinds of incidents are repeating because the criminal characters think women is a toy to satiate their lust. The civil society regardless of caste, creed and faith need to condemn such incidents. The need of the hour is to cleanse the society of evil for the morality to thrive, they urged.
