Udupi: Stolen ATM unearthed, no trace of burglars

Udupi, 19 June 2010: Udupi police were able to unearth the ATM box that was stolen by burglars on June 13.

The empty box was abandoned amidst thorny bushes in the forest behind Brahmavara Sugar factory.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, DySP Jayanth Shetty said that some people, who were on their routine work of picking mushrooms, found the box and informed local police. The box is empty, he said and added that the police are clueless regarding the whereabouts of the burglars.    

Two teams are probing the incident, he said.
