M’lore: Ramanath Rai to deliver Independence Day Message at Nehru Maidan

Mangalore, 13 Aug 2013: The district-level Independence Day celebrations will be held at Nehru maidan, here on Thursday August 15 at 9.00am.

 

The state forest, environment and Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai will hoist the national flag and deliver Independence Day message.

 

The state health and family welfare minister U T Khader, former CM and opposition party leader D V Sadanand Gowda, state minister for youth service and fisheries K Abayachandra Jain, ZP president K Koragappa Naik, MLAs S Angara, K Vasant Bagera, Shakuntala Shetty, J R Lobo, B A Moideen Bawa, MLC Captain Ganesh karnik MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and others will be the chief guests of the occasion.

 

The police band will stage variety shows at Town Hall from 3.15pm to 4.00pm on Thursday and cultural programmes will be staged from 4.00pm to 6.00pm.
