Mangalore: J R Lobo pays Goodwill visit to KPCC Gen Secretary Ivan D’Souza

Mangalore, 16 Apr 2013: J R Lobo, Congress candidate from Mangalore south constituency paid a goodwill visit to KPCC general secretary Ivan D’Souza at the latter’s residence here on Tuesday April 16 evening.
It was a significant visit by J R Lobo to seek wholehearted support from Ivan D’Souza in overseeing the upcoming assembly elections. Earlier, Ivan had expressed displeasure over issuing party ticket to bureaucrat turned politician J R Lobo.
It may be recalled that Ivan had faced setback in the earlier elections. Despite the setback, Ivan lobbied unsuccessfully to get party ticket to contest the upcoming assembly elections.
Earlier, Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee (DCC) president Ramanat Rai assigned the task of overseeing election campaign in 8 constituencies of DK district.
However, the differences between Lobo and Ivan were resolved amicably with the personal visit of J R Lobo on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, Ivan assured wholehearted support to work towards winning all Congress candidates including J R Lobo.
J R Lobo was accompanied by his well wishers, close aids and party activists.
