Shirva, 01 June 2012: In the nationwide bandh called by the opposition parties, there has been good response. The buses, lorries and even rickshaws, taxies and tempos stopped in support of bundh in city and even in rural areas. Most of the shops were closed. In Shirva market area was quiet with hardly any buyers. Kaup bus stand and town were deserted. Kaup bus stand turned into mini cricket stadium.
The BJP party workers conducted protest on the roads and national highway opposing the raise of petrol prices. Most of the schools which were just reopened on Wednesday, were closed. In some schools the headmaster and few students were only seen. But since it was the right muhurtha day all the marriage halls had the marriage functions with car, tempo and special buses were running around with flower decoration.

The report says: But since it was the right muhurtha day all the marriage halls had the marriage functions with car, tempo and special buses were running around with flower decoration.. Very pleased to hear this. The flames of love and sex burn on, no matter what petrol costs! Keep the fire of passion going, folks; one of the side effects of Bharath bandh (BB) is a BB(bi-bi, or biwi) today and BB (babula bachcha, bonny baby) in a year! |
