Invitational Rapid Chess: Andria D’Souza triumphs

Mangalore, 07 December 2011: Andria D’Souza of St’Agnes Girls High School, has won the title in the invitational Rapid Chess Tournament, Organised by Derik’s Chess School in its premises on 4th December 2011.
 
Andria scored 6.5 Points in 7 rounds. 57 invited participants including many international (FIDE) and National (CAI) rated players had participated in this 7 round Swiss league Fischer mode Rapid chess tournament.

 

 
Prizes were distributed by Deric Pinto, Administrator, Derik’s Chess School. Chief arbiter of the tournament Sri Prasanna Rao, was also present on the occasion.
