Independence Day Celebrations at Alevoor
Alevoor, 15 August 2011: Independence day grand celebrations held at Shanthinikethana English Medium Higher Primary School Alevoor. Bangalore Wipro Technologies Project Leader and Founder of V-for Developers of Alevoor Karthik Shetty unfurled the flag. In his speech he briefed that it is important to grow the patriotism along with the studies in the school.
Shanthi G. Kini - Advisory Council member of Alevoor Goup for Education was present on the occasion. School Headmistress Roopa D. Kini welcomed the guests and the gathering. Teacher Sumana Rao compeered the program. Teacher Vibha Adiga proposed vote of thanks. Various entertainment programs were conducted by the students.
Independence Day Celebrations at Manipal
Manipal, 15 August 2011: Independence day celebrations were held in a grand manner in Madhavakripa School Manipal. Dr. A. Krishna Rao – President of Manipal Academy of General Education unfurled the national flag on the occasion.
School Headmistress Jessy Andrews welcomed the guests. School teachers, parents and students participated in the program. After unfurling of flag the students sand patriotic songs and attractive tablos of freedom fighters were and some dances were performed.
Independence Day Celebrations at Govt. High School Ajjarkad
Udupi, 15 August 2011: 65th Independence day celebrated at the Ajjarkad Government United High School in a grand manner. Ambalpadi Rotary Club President N.R. Nayak unfurled the flag, distributed the sweets to the students and gave Independence day message.
School Development Committee Vice President H. Jayaprakash Kedlaya and Members, School Headmaster T. Manjappa, Rotary members and students participated in the celebration program.
Independence Day Celebrations at Brahmavara
Brahmavara, 15 August 2011: Independence day was distinctively celebrated in Brhmavara by distributing laddu’s to 12,500 students of 27 Educational Institutions of 4 Grama Panchayth areas of Brahmavara and 15,000 staffs of various Government Offices of Udupi – Brahmavara and distributing Independence day greeting cards, all organized by Brahmavara Foundation.
This program is being conducted since the last 4 years, with the main intention of creating the national feelings among the students, the sweets and greetings are being distributed, said B. Govindaraja Hegde from the Foundation.
Flag Pole donated to Krishi Kendra by Kaup JCI
Kaup, 15 August 2011: Kaup JCI constructed a new flag pole in the compound of Krishi Kendra Kaup, which was inaugurated by Indian JCI National President Balavelaudan. Kaup JCI President Rajendra B.K. presided over the inaugural program. Nilananda Nayak of JCI welcomed the guests and gathering. Treasurer Rakesh Kunjoor proposed vote of thanks.
JCI Zone 15 President Ashith Kumar, Former Zonal President Uday Kumar Shetty, Zonal Officers; Dipak Yermal, Chitra Kumar, Allan Rohan Vaz, Pravin Kumar Gurme, Rajesh Shenoy, Sandip Kumar, Kaup Grama Panchayath President Yogish Rai, Krishi Kendra Officer Thimmappa gowda were present.
