Kundapura, 05 June 2011: A suicide incident in Kakkeri, Kalavara Grama by a middle aged man pouring kerosene on himself, has taken place on Saturday. The deceased Shridhara Poojary (47) was addicted to alcohol and having financial difficulties, disgusted with this, he poured kerosene and burnt himself, on 01st June.
Immediately members of his family admitted him to the Kundapura Goverment Hospital for treatment. Later for the further treatment, from there he was admitted to Wenlock Hospital in Mangalore. But as the serious burns did not respond to the treatment and he died on Saturday. The case is registered in Kundapura Police Station.
Hebri, 05 June 2011: In a robbery in Mutlapadi Road, Varanga Grama at the residence of Madhura M. Prabhu, 2 jersey cows and 1 native cow which were in the cow shed have been robbed on Friday night. The total cost of the cows is estimated to about rupees 24,000 as per the complaint given by Prabhu, which is registered in the Hebri Police Station.
Shakaranarayana, 05 June 2011: A suicide incident in Haklamane, Edamoge Grama by a man taking poison, has taken place on Friday night. The deceased Mahabala Shetty (40) was suffering from psychological problems. On Thursday he left the house saying that he will go to his wife’s house.
But instead he went to Shuntihaklu forest of Jansale and by taking some poison killed himself. As per the complain given by his younger brother Ananda Shetty, a unnatural death case has been registered in Shankaranarayana Police Station.
