Udupi, 26 Jul 2014: Shirva police displayed their humanity by rescuing a twenty-five-year-old destitute found at the junction of Subash Nagar, Shirva, near here on Thursday May 24 during night patrol.

The shabbily dressed Chiranjeevi, who speaks a mixture of Kannada, Telugu and Hindi does not remember his address.

The policemen housed him at Vishwasadamane orphanage and rehabilitation centre.

Vishwasadamane chief functionary Pastor Sunil D’Souza expressed confidence that Chiranjeevi will recover some day and rejoin his family.
