Mangalore: Flavy DSouza elected as first woman President of Catholic Sabha

Mangalore, 13 May 2014: Flavy D’Souza elected as first woman president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh, during the thirty-fifth annual general meeting held at Bishop’s House here on Sunday May 11. Flavy was the first woman elected as president of Catholic Sabha in 35 years.
The exiting president Nigel Pereira presided the meeting.
Valarian D’Souza (president designate), Anil Lobo (vice president), Victor Vaz (secretary), Walter Monis (joint secretary), Julia Crasta (treasurer), Lancy Pinto (joint treasurer).
Catholic Sabha spiritual director Fr J B Crasta, former presidents Gerald D’ Costa and L J Fernandes were present.
All India Catholic Union past national vice president Lancy D’Cunha conducted the proceedings.
