Abu Dhabi: Traditional Festivities highlight World Bunts Day

Abu Dhabi, 27 April 2014: World Bunts Day organized by UAE Bunts Held at the Armed Forces Club Abu Dhabi  UAE on Friday 25th April 2014 attended by a huge number of Bunts. The mind blowing flavor of back home  traditional  festivities started at 10am in the morning  under the leadership of Sri Sarvotham Shetty President of UAE Bunts.  All the VIPs and Guests of the day were welcomed by traditional Drum Beats (Chande) troop including men & women wearing Indian traditional cloth gave soothing touch for event. The attraction of the programme was that everybody was wearing traditional bunts dress it was blush of atmosphere. Variety of colourful group dances was presented by Children and Adults.

 

 

The programme was Presided by Padmashree Dr. B. R . Shetty Patron UAE Bunts,  Inaugurated by Sri Sri Sri Dr. Vidyavachaspati VishwaSanthosh Bharathi Shree Padharu, Bhargava Beedu,  Barkur Udupi Dist.  As usual The Prestigious award of UAE BUNTS “BuntaVibhushana”  was given to a famous Indian entrepreneur & business man & Trustee of Bhoothanatheshwara Temple Mijar Sri VijayanathVittal Shetty.  He was felicitated with Shawl, Mysore Peta, memento and Sanmana Pathra.   After a brief introduction of Organizers Manoj Shetty and Varna Shetty were felicitated and the felicitation program was compered by Jyothica Shetty.

Program continued with more dances by kids namely by Blues Diamond Abu Dhabi  and Freestyle Bollywood Mix by Avirath& Team Dubai  and YakshaganaRupaka by Shashi Shetty & Guru Shetty were was beautifully performed by the groups  and received a huge applause from audience.

 

The important session held on the occasion was Group Discussion about BUNTS Tradition, Culture, AcharaVichara and Tulu/Kannada language.  During these discussions several members of the audience raised important questions.  Appropriate and meaningful answers were given by guests who came from the different parts of world to attend the event which made atmosphere very homely.

 

Lunch break - a Delicious mouthwatering buffet   was arranged in an open skylight area of auditorium which gave blossom atmosphere. After the lunch five teams (Kithoora Rani Chennamma, Krishnadevaraya, Rani Abbakka, OnakeObavva and SangoliRayanna) participated in the group dance competition.  The competition was mind blowing and it was very tough for judges Vijay Kumar Shetty of Kala Jagathu, Mumbai, Ganesh Hegde, Bollywood Choregrapher, Mumbai &VijayanathaVittal Shetty, Business man from Mumbai  to decide on best performance as all the performances were praise worthy and received a huge round of applause from the audiance.  However, judges had to make a decision and final results were as follows:

(1) Ist Prize – SangolliRayanna Group Choereographed by Prasanna Shetty &SachinMada, Dubai
(2) 2nd Prize – Krishnadevaraya  Choreographed by JasmithaVivek, Dubai
(3) 3rd Prize – OnakeObavvaChoregraphed by Pawan, Abu Dhabi
The best choregrapher prize gone to Prasanna Shetty &SachinMada.  They have awarded with Winning tropies and cash prizes.

“BaleTelipale” the famous hilarious dramas were enjoyed by audience which were played during three sessions of the programme.  Before concluding the programme a raffle draw held and prizes were distributed on spot.

 

CA Shankar Shetty, President of Bunts Sangha, Mumbai delivered a conclusion speech and he has conveyed his suggestions how to  take this "World Bunts Day" year by year  with the help of  World wide Bunts Sangha’s.   He whole heartedly praised the event conducted by the UAE BUNTS.

 

The entire programme captured the beauty of Bunt harmony and highlighted the tradition, culture and oneness of the Tulunadu.

 

UAE BUNTS President Sarvotham Shetty coordinated the entire programme with the help of Vijay Kumar Shetty and Organizing Committee Members of UAE BUNTS.
