Good to see the events with important matter regarding inclusion of Thulu Language in 8B Schedule to be discussed during the function. The significance of BISU PARBA and BISU KANI should not be ignored just because agri. activities in Tulunadu is in receding stage. The Bisu Parba is more related to the commencement of new yr on solar base than lunar one. Hence this is called the beginning of SAURAMANA YUGADI( Yuga=period, Aadi=beginning.)There is historic reason for naming BISU Parba and Bisu Kani ( BISU GANI).As it is related to the products being grown from the earth ( not manufactured, nor fished out from sea ) during the period it is designated as GANI means the wealth available underneath the earth. Same wealth like peddy if it is amassed at home then this is called THUPPE The word BISU is originally as PASU. It was formed by selecting the first letters of the 1st solar month PAGGU the last solar month SUGGI. It was JAABAALI MAHARSHI in 15th century who was living on the shore of the River NELLI THEERTH near THEERTHA HALLI near KOMPADAVU via MUCHURU in DK who first introdused Sauramana .
