Udupi: Deanery Catholic Sabha & District Minority Forum organizes Christmas Friendly Meet

Udupi, 17 Dec 2013: Catholic Sabha of Udupi deanery and district minority Forum jointly organized Christmas friendly meet at Our Lady of Stella Maris parish, Kalmady, near here on Sunday December 15. 

 
Udupi – Our Lady of Sorrows parish priest and Udupi deanery Catholic Sabha spiritual director Fr Fred Mascarenhas, Kalmady parish priest Fr Alban D’Souza, Tonse Health Centre managing director Dr Mohammed Rafiq were the chief guests present on the occasion. 

 
Udupi deanery Catholic Sabha president Louis D’ Almeida, presided the programe here on Sunday.

 
Dr Mohammed Rafiq along with Fr Fred Mascarenhas, Fr Alban D’ Souza cut the Christmas cake and inaugurated the programme and deleverd their message.

 
The ace swimmer Gopal Karvi who made Guinness Record recently was felicitated by presenting cash award, a memento and public honor on the same occasion. 

 

 
The minority Forum member Ganesh Nergi distributed the prizes to the winners of elocution competitions.

 
The minority Forum president Alphonse D’ Costa, Kalmady parish unit of Catholic Sabha president Eugene Lasrado, vice president Louis Lobo, Udupi deanery Catholic Sabha secretary Flavia Mathias, Catholic Sabha central Committee secretary Mary D’ Souza, the Forum office bearers B Kasim, Navin Fernandes, Narayana P Kundar, industrialist Piru Saheb were present on the dias. 

 
The Kalmady parish children present a Christmas skit. 

 
Louis D”Almeida welcomed the gathering.  Alphonse D’ Costa proposed vote of thanks.  Sanjay Andrade compered the programme.

 
Cakes and Kuswas also distributed to the gathering on the occasion.
