Moodubelle: Teachers Day Celebrated in St. Lawrence English Medium School

Moodubelle, 07 September 2010: St. Lawrence English Medium School, Moodubelle celebrated the Teachers Day along with the Birthday of Fr. Joswey Fernandes (1st September) and Talents Day for the students of 6th to 10th standard on Monday, 6th September 2010 at 1 pm. Fr. Joswey Fernandes, Correspondent of the school presided over the function. Mrs. Gracy D’Souza, representative of the Parents-Teachers Association was the chief guest.

 

Fr. Lancy Saldanaha, Principal of St. Lawrence English Medium School, teachers and students offered flower bouquets to Fr. Joswey and wished him ‘Happy Birthday’. In the Talent s Day programme, the students of 6th to 10th standard presented variety programme including dance, group songs and skits.

 

 

As part of the celebration of the Teachers Day, competitions in various fun games were organised for the teachers who enthusiastically participated in all the events. The winners were given prizes by Mrs. Gracy D’Souza, the chief guest. Fr. Joswey Fernandes distributed gifts to all the teachers as a mark of appreciation for their dedicated service to the institution. The chief guest, Mrs. Gracy D’Souza, Fr. Lancy Saldanaha and Fr. Joswey Fernandes speaking on this occasion appreciated the students for their wonderful performance in the variety entertainment programme and complimented the teachers for their noble service to the society.

 

Felina D’Souza of 10th standard compeered the programme, Aditya of 6th standard welcomed the guests and Rosely Carol Quadros of 6th standard proposed the vote of thanks. Sweets, sponsored by Fr. Joswey Fernandes were distributed to all students.
