Udupi: Ranjitha Murder - Accused Yogesh nabbed

Udupi/Malpe, 30 Nov 2013:  Police on Saturday, November 30 have arrested Yogesh (26) who had stabbed Kadekar resident Ranjtha to death on Wednesday, November 27,after she refused to reciprocate to his feelings.

 

Yogesh, son of Raju Patel, Kadekar was an electrician by profession and also used to do painting. Soon after stabbing her Yogesh had fled away in his bicycle. Police were on his pursuit from the past four days.

 

On Friday November 29 a person who was walking by the stream after the water had receded found the bicycle in middle of the stream and informed the police. The Police who arrived at the spot seized the vehicle. The Police also found Yogesh hiding in the bush and arrested him.

 

The Police had also formed eight teams to nab Yogesh.

 

Ranjitha was pursuing Second PU in Udupi Ajarkad Womens First Grade Pre University College. Yogesh who had fallen in love with Ranjitha was harassing her from many days. However, Ranjitha never reciprocated to his feelings. Despite rejection Yogesh didn’t stop harassing her and started stalking her.

 

Tormented by Yogesh Ranjitha also revealed about him to her familt members. Family members had also cautioned Yogesh not to trouble Ranjitha.
