Mangalore : Attempts to dent image of Dharmadhikari, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala condemned

Mangalore, Oct 30, 2013 : “Defamation of Dharmadhikari and Shree Kshetra Dharmastala has hurt the religious sentiments of several devotees. Dharamasthala is a historical, scared place,"  said Paramahamsa Mohandas Swamiji, Manila.

 

The ‘Dharmadhikar Pita’ (position) was blessed by the ‘Dharmadevathes’ (spiritual powers) and we are no one to ask him to step down from the ‘Pita’.  Dharmasthala is a place which replete culture, tradition to our future generation. Sowjanya and her parents should get justice. The revolutions organized in name of Sowjanya is creating gap between hearts and society which shouldn’t happen. As the devotees of the ‘Kshetra’ we are ready to sacrifice our lives for the reputation of Temple," he added.

He was addressing the programme organized by devotees of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala and well-wishers of Dharmadhikari to condemn the baseless inflammatory allegation against ‘Kshetra’ and ‘Dharmadhikari’ here on Tuesday October 29.

“No person is permanent in this world. Only the sacred places are eternal. We can only show our scared places to our future generation. Hence there is need to put an end to the baseless allegation against Kshetra as well on Dharmadhiakari. In god’s court only justice prevails not injustice. Moreover, we should also contemplate on the welfare, contribution done by Dharmadikari for the social betterment, “he said.  

Rajashekarananda Swamiji in his address said, “We are always right in our stand. We have no confusion regarding the issue. Sowjanya and her family should get justice and there is no compromise over this. But using her name to defame Heggade and Kshetra will not be tolerated. We condemn this.  ’Sanyasi’ should have his own principles to uphold the dignity of Sanyasa. Everytime in all issues he cannot intervene. Dr Heggade has contributed a lot to the society which should be considered. ‘Dharamdhikari’ is not a post to ask him to resign, but it is a position”.

 

Mumthaz Ali, chief secretary of Islamic Cultural Center, Mangalore said, “Every citizen feels bad when their religion, community leaders are defamed with baseless allegations. Dharmasthala is place which is a good example for communal harmony. But few people with their vested interest are trying to defaming Dharmastala. Law is equal to religion, community; no one can go against the law.”

Vasudev Kottary said, “Truth should prevail; Even Dharmadhikari is willing to hand over Sowjanya’s case to CBI. If they were really fighting for Sowjanya why they were silent for over a year? Even we know how to fight against this injustice. Using Sowjanya’s name they are trying to defame Kshetra and Dharmadhikari.”

Pradeep Kumar Kalkura presented keynote address. “Raising voice against oppression is not wrong, but defaming the sacred place and personality is totally wrong. Government should solve this problem immediately,” he said.  

Vajrakumar Karnanthaya Ballal, Mulki Seeme Duganna Savantha spoke on the occasion.
