Udupi: Future Naval Cadets undergo Nav Sainik NCC Camp underway in Backwaters at Udyavar

Udupi, 10 Oct 2013: Mangalore south MLA J R Lobo paid a visit to Nav Sainik state-level NCC camp of one-month underway at the backwaters of Swarna River at Udyavar, near here on Thursday October 10 morning.
The visit coincided meeting with Air Commander Rajeev, deputy director general of National Cadet Corps (NCC) Karnataka and Goa with headquarter based at Bangalore at Nav Sainik state-level NCC camp here on Thursday morning.
Both MLA Lobo and Air Commodore Rajeev motivated 40 NCC cadets who are undergoing training at Nav Sainik camp, comprised 28 men and 12 women from different colleges across Karnataka and Goa. Out of 180 NCC cadets; the most able 40 cadets were qualified to attend during month-long camp. The camp will conclude on Sunday October 13.
All India Nav Sainik camp in 9 disciplines for 17 NCC directorates across the nation will be held at Vishakapattanam, Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday October 15.
Commodore N Ramachandra, Commodore M K Agarwal – commanding officer of Goa naval directorate based at Panjim unit, Colonel Sriram - NCC group Commandant headquarter based at Mangalore and Lieutenant Colonel U H Shista, commanding officer of 6 Karnataka NCC unit based at Udupi were present.
MLA J R Lobo also paid a visit to Monte Mariano Monastry located on the banks of Netravati River at Farangipet on Mangalore – Bangalore NH.
