Mangalore: KSHEMA organizes Competitions for Students on World Heart Day

Mangalore, 22 Sep 2013: K S Hegde Charitable Hospital, cardiology and cardiothoracic department organized various competitions for the students of different schools in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district on the occasion of Word Heart Day here on Saturday September 21.

Nitte University chancellor Professor Dr S Ramanand Shetty inaugurated the programme and explained to the students how to curb the heart diseases through observing World Heart Day. 

K S Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) dean Professor Dr Satish Kumar Bhandary explained the role of students on the occasion of World Heart Day.

 

The Hospital medical superintendent Dr Muralidar Pai welcomed the gathering.  Dr A B Shetty Dental College dean Professor Dr Rajendra Prasad, KSHEMA medical superintendent Dr Karuna Ramesh Kumar, head of department of cardiology Dr Subramaniam, head of cardiothoracic department Dr Gopalakrishnan, cardiac surgeon Dr Amit Kiran, head of department of psychiatry Dr Satish Rao and others were present on the occasion.

Over 112 students from different schools across DK district partaken in drawing competition, quiz and other contests.
