Paladka Parish Priest Fr. Dolphy Monteiro died in tragic accident

Moodbidri, 18 August 2010: New Parish Priest of Paladka Fr. Dolphy Monteiro was going to the medication on his bike from Paladka church to Moodbidri as he was not well, got skid, Fell in to the Well of Mrs Angeline DSouza (w/o David D’Souza known as Davidam in the locality). This happened at 9.30am today. The house of Mrs Angeline DSouza is located near the main road of Paladka but the well is little inside the Paladka church road which is meeting near Paladka Main Road. Both Road and the well have the wall. The bike is crushed to the wall of the road. May be after getting skid he was thrown into the well as it was also raining.

He joined as Parish Priest of Paladka on 30-5-2010. He was very young and dynamic priest. Came with full potentials to serve the parish after his studies in us. Earlier he had served in Jeppu and Narampady parishes. At present the body is sent to for the post mortem to the govt hospital
Funeral will be on Friday, 20th August 2010 at 10am at Paladka.
