Kundapur: Burglars Decamp with 24 Sovereign Pounds worth Jewellery in a house at Gangolli

Kundapur, 22 Jun 2013: The burglars burgled a house located behind Gangolli fish market, near here on Friday June 21 night and decamped with 24 sovereign pounds of gold jewellery and cash money of Rs 2,500.
The burglars gained the entry into the house of a certain Naqif, a resident of Gangolli employed in Dubai. His sisters and mother were living in the house and have gone to sleep as usual on Friday night. Meanwhile, the burglars decamped with 8 bangles worth 16 sovereign pounds, necklace worth four-and-a-half sovereign pound, 1 gold chain of one sovereign pound, 2 rings of one-and-a-quarter sovereign pounds, altogether worth 24 sovereign pounds and cash money of Rs 2,500. The were able to accomplish their task without disturbing the sleeping family.
The sniffer-dogs and fingerprint experts gathered clues for further investigation. Gangolli sub-inspector Sampat Kumar, Gangolli gram panchayat member Durgaraj and Raghavendra Pai also visited the spot.
Its significant that the house burgled was located in a busy area where there are several houses in the locality.
Gangolli police registered a case in this regard.
