"Shimti Natullo Kolo" successfully staged by Karval Milan

Dubai, 18 May 2013: Karaval Milan Dubai successfully staged eagerly awaited social moral drama “Shimti Nathullo Kolo” at Sh. Rashid Auditorium in Dubai on Friday.  It was the part of Mega Konkani Contest which was held earlier between four finalists Bellevision, USWAS, Shirva.  Udenthichim Neketram and Omzoorche Dive, in which Bellevision team won the coveted Mega Konkani Quiz Contest in a closely contested competition beating USWAS Shirva.

 

The eagerly awaited social moral drama titled: “ Shimti Nathullo Kolo” written by late Sunny D’Souza and directed by Dubai based konkani poet and dramatist Sannu Monis Bolliye was successfully staged and won accolades from the audience for their skillful action and presentation.  The well-known konkani artists Nanu Marol Thottam, Sannu Monis Bolliye, Stany D’Cunha Kemman, Janet Sequeira Brahmavar, Puis James Barkur, Lynell Monteiro Vamanjoor and Adlin D’Souza Kulsekar.  Music was provided by Keith D’Souza and songs were sung by Rony Byndoor.

 

The drama was a social family drama where the greedy couple decides to go to gulf to earn money leaving their good jobs in Mumbai and settled in Dubai for several years leaving their children in miserable conditions in the hands of their ambitious uncle who plunders their hard earned money.  The father of the couple struggles to cope up with the new breed of youngsters and their pathetical lify-style at the hands of their uncle, very well played by Nanu Marol Thottam equally supported by his partner and neighbor Stany D’Cunha Kemmannu.

 

 

However, the story turns totally and suspense is cleared when the couple returns to Mumbai in the last scene, after earning eight years in the gulf and the actual motive of the children’s uncle played by Pius James Barkur.   The couple played by Sannu Monis and Janet Sequeira realize their big blunder and they decide to stay with their children and their so called Villain returns all their money and property for them and joins Indian Army and the drama ends in happy ending and all smiles. The children’s role was wonderfully played by Lynnel  Monterio and Adlin D’Souza.

 

Roshan D’Silva invited all the artists on the dais and requested President Naveen Sequeira to honour them floral bouquets.

Drama was long...but it was worth watching....It is really difficult to pass such a message to the people. Actors have really done a tremendous performance and exceptionally good...particularly Nanu Marol...Hats up to you sir....!!!??? What a capacity to remember the dialogues....????
